Gregory J. White is a candidate for the 8C02 seat in DC Ward 8 on the November 4th ballot. With a unique blend of corporate and governmental experience, Gregory brings a fresh perspective to the community. His professional journey spans 10 years in corporate America, where he worked for Fortune 150 firms like Morgan Stanley, Liberty Mutual, and Pfizer. He then transitioned to federal service at the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development.
Gregory’s academic achievements include fellowships studying education in South Africa and China, culminating in his pursuit of a PhD. This global exposure gives him a deep understanding of the economic and educational challenges facing communities. His plan centers on four key issues: increasing community engagement, improving education through higher graduation rates and vocational options, strengthening economic opportunities, and enhancing public safety.
